From day one, new residents are introduced to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and the City of Albany. Local leaders and hospital staff host "Media Day" welcoming the residents with open arms. From that day forward, they are considered part of the Phoebe "family".

Through planned, social activities, residents have the opportunity to develop relationships. These relationships, together with the professional support of the Phoebe staff is why many have chosen to stay in the area after their residency is complete.
